Steve Prefontaine

Prefontaine attended the University of Oregon where he trained under legendary coach Bill Bowerman. Pre, as he was called by his fans, won three Division I NCAA Cross Country championships and four straight three-mile titles. It was while at the University of Oregon that Prefontaine earned a reputation for his aggressive front-running racing style, going out hard and not relinquishing the lead. He soon became a legend not only in his native Oregon, but nationwide, appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated at age 19.Runner Steve Roland Prefontaine was born on January 25, 1951, in Coos Bay, Oregon. Widely considered one of the greatest American runners of all time, Prefontaine once held the U.S. record in every long-distance event from the 2,000 meters to the 10,000 meters. He attended Marshfield High School, where he set a national high school record in the two-mile race and broke 19 national high school records in track.

Usain St. Louis Bolt

Arguably the most naturally gifted athlete the world has ever seen, Usain St Leo Bolt, confirmed his tremendous talents when he realized his dreams by winning a phenomenal three gold medals and breaking three world records at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.  Bolt became the first man in Olympic history to win both the 100m and 200m races in world record times and then as part of the 4x100m team that also smashed the world record later in the meet. He created history again and became a legend at the 2012 Olympic Games in London by defending all three Olympic titles with 100m, 200m and 4x100m victories, the latter in a new world record time of 36.84 secs.

Way of running
Running, the quicker stride like movement of our legs that moves us faster than walking, it is performed worldwide by any person at least every second. It is only in our nature to run once our body develops the ability to stand and walk. Running brings us a sense of freedom, it’s a way to compete, its therapy or medicine, it is something done for many different reasons. Everyone should do it because its also healthy and good for our bodies and mind, I would know I’m a runner too as well as a racer and running has been a wonderful and large part of my life.

Everyone can run, jog, and sprint certain distances using the speed within their legs, but the wonder of preforming these actions is how to correctly have form in running, jogging, or sprinting. Through the correct form of step over drive down or S.O.D.D. people can avoid foot or leg injury, run faster, and look more professional running.
